netTrekker d.i.'s People & Events Timeline
Utilizing the same technology found in the Dynamic
Timeline, netTrekker d.i. provides a quick and easy way to get a better
understanding of the famous people and significant events throughout history
by placing them in context. With the People & Events Timeline,
you can explore the surrounding eras, events, arts, innovations, discoveries
and famous people which occured or lived during the same time period.
You can generate a timeline around a famous person or event any time you see
the timeline icon (
). This icon, when clicked for a famous person, will create a timeline
based on that individual's birth and death dates. When clicked for an event,
this icon will create a timeline based upon the duration of the event, subsequent
events, and repercussions or aftermath of the event.
People & Events Timeline
Here's how to access the People & Events Timeline.
-
From a Famous Person Search
When you perform a Famous Person Search,
whether you search by name or create a Famous Person List, netTrekker
d.i. will deliver a page of names which match your query. Many famous people's
names will be followed by the timeline icon. Click the timeline icon (
) to generate a timeline around the dates of that person's life. This is
not a chronicle of events of that person's life, but of significant world
events that occurred during that person's lifespan.
-
From a Subject Search
When you perform a Subject Search,
the timeline icon (
) will often appear next to famous people and significant events. Click
the timeline icon to generate a timeline around a person's lifespan or around
an event.
-
From a Search Result
When you perform a Search Result
based on a famous person or significant event, the timeline icon (
) will often appear in the title of that search result. Click the timeline
icon to generate a timeline around that person's life or around that event.
For more information on how to navigate the timeline, once created, check
